Rare Finds - Antique Opal Cocktail Rings

There's magic in Opals.

Oh my, I really need to win the lottery!
This ring is simply exquisite!
An oval opal cabochon set into 14K rose and white gold and
surrounded by 16 little diamonds.

Huge, 26mm marquise shaped opal is surrounded by old mine-cut diamonds
in a gold and silver setting.

This ring is made of 18K gold and platinum
and features two fiery opal cabochons, offset by diamonds.

A cluster of round and tear shape opals in a 14K yellow gold setting.
Can you believe all that opaly iridescence?

This petite ring is so sweet. A fiery opal is surrounded by 10 diamonds
in 18K gold and platinum setting.

A large, eye catching opal flower estate ring, set in 18K gold.

A 30mm opal cabochon is set in a 14K gold crown setting.
This cocktail ring reminds me of something a fairy-tale queen should wear.

Antique Art Deco Diamond Cocktail Rings

Talk about "Statement Rings". No one can possibly miss one of these...from across the room.

I love the unique shape and the ornate piercings....
and the diamonds and the sapphires!
An exquisite ornament for every Daisy at heart.

This platinum ring is set with one old-mine cut diamond,
33 rose-cut diamonds and 20 natural sapphires.
Can you just imagine the amount of sparkle?!

Isn't this ring simply fabulous? I love how the sapphires
are set into an arabesque shape, calling attention to the
full-cut marque diamond in the center.

The delicate open-work and the extra long shape reminds me of fairy wings.

Rose cut diamonds, two pearls and a center diamond are set
into a unique, intricate filigree setting.

Antique Jewelry Show, Part 1 - Engagement Rings

This past weekend I attended an Antique Jewelry show in NY. Vendors from all over the country, as well as some international jewelers displayed their exquisite merchandise.  So much sparkle and beauty under one roof made me dizzy!

Here are some one of a kind, antique engagement and dinner rings
that caught my eye at the show.

Sapphires and Diamonds - A Match Made In Heaven!

I love the look of vibrant blue Sapphires
juxtaposed against brilliant white diamonds.
Throw in some intricate filigree or an unusual shape
and you've got a perfect combination!
An emerald cut sapphire is framed by European cut diamonds.

A Polished glossy sapphire cabochon is so rare and eye-catching!

Circa 1900, this ring, of Italian origin features a natural Sapphire in the center,
accented by rose cut diamonds. I love the unusual scalloped shape.
This one is a rare and unique find!

(Antique REPRODUCTION)

An emerald-cut diamond is surrounded by rows of
French-cut sapphires. I can totally picture Daisy from
The Great Gatsby flaunting this ring.

This gorgeous ring has all the details of an Edwardian era jewelry piece.
European and rose cut diamonds, accented by two sapphires set into an intricate, pierced setting.
It's easily worth twice the listed price.
