Antique Jewelry Show Part 2

There was so much to see at the Antique Jewelry Show, I could have spent days there! All the exquisite jewels displayed at the show looked like the adornments worn by the much admired Downton Abbey characters, the graceful ladies of the Crawley family. It's amazing how well preserved these jewels are, considering that some of them are close to 100 years old! What do we own now that will last this long? In our day and age, everything is disposable. The beauty and longevity of antique jewelry is a testament to the incredibly skilled artisans who created it by hand. I love knowing that these jewels have seen the world so different from today and that most likely, they will outlive me as well.

This museum quality set looks like it was worn by royalty.
I love how much history can be glimpsed in antique jewelry!

I'm obsessed with opals! Isn't this necklace divine?

Antique Jewelry Show, Part 1 - Engagement Rings

This past weekend I attended an Antique Jewelry show in NY. Vendors from all over the country, as well as some international jewelers displayed their exquisite merchandise.  So much sparkle and beauty under one roof made me dizzy!

Here are some one of a kind, antique engagement and dinner rings
that caught my eye at the show.
